Atlantic Path Publishing was founded in 2002 as a sole proprietorship in Gloucester, Massachusetts, for the purpose of publishing professional reference books for authors, editors, educators, and publishers on academic writing, editing, and publishing.

Titles include Writing and Developing Your College Textbook, Second Edtion, by Mary Ellen Lepionka (2008, ISBN 978-0-9728164-7-2); Writing and Developing Your College Textbook, First Edtion (2003, ISBN 0-9728164-0-2); Writing and Developing College Textbook Supplements, by Mary Ellen Lepionka (2005, ISBN 978-0-9728164-1-0); Self-Publishing Textbooks and Instructional Materials, by Franklin H. Atlantic Path Publishing is an active member, sponsor, and contributor of the Text and Academic Authors Association (TAAonline.net). Mary Ellen Lepionka also served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Independent Book Publishers Association (IBPA-online.com), a refounding board member of the Independent Publishers of New England (IPNE.org), and a contributor to the Society of Academic Authors (SA2.info).
